What’s the one thing you think of when somebody says Australia besides everything wanting to kill you? Surfing! And if you’ve never surfed before there’s no better place to learn than Australia’s number one Surf Camp. Based in Gerroa just 2 hours south of Sydney. Learn to surf on one of the Australia’s best beaches, 7 mile beach. 14633437_10153924764371931_7863300746967765387_o

I did the 5 days 4 nights package and it was amazing value for money and I had the time of my life. With this package you get –

  • 4 nights accommodation is a 5/6 bed dorm.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Photos and videos.
  • Free t-shirt, cap and $20 Ripcurl voucher.
  • Transport from and to  WakeUp! Sydney.
  • 2 Surf lessons a day.
  • Use of wetsuits and surfboards.

This package costs $695 however If you do the UltimateOZ intro week you get a discounted price of $595 which is the price I paid. However, you have to get in quick because spaces fill up quickly.

Not only is Surf Camp the best place to learn to surf but it’s also great for meeting other backpackers and making friends.  There’s nothing better after a day of surfing than to chill with new friends, have a few drinks and get to know one another. Oh, and what’s better than a few drinks? A proper Aussie BBQ and drinks. Also get your first real taste of kangaroo cooked by the camps finest chefs!14708088_10153924763956931_5436910182596492296_o

The instructors are awesome! They not only create a super chilled atmosphere around the camp they also help you one on one to improve your surf skills and help you catch the best waves. By the end of the week, you won’t only be friends with the other surfers but also the instructors.
